Bring Sikh history to life with this finely detailed 3D-printed and hand painted model of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s iconic golden throne. Designed with close attention to historical references, attire, and throne ornamentation, this piece is a tribute to the founder of the Sikh Empire and a symbol of strength, unity, and sovereignty.
History:
The goldsmith Hafez Muhammad Multani made this throne for Maharaja Ranjit Singh, probably between 1805 and 1810. It shows clearly the splendour of the maharaja's court.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh ruled from his royal court in Lahore, where one of the most iconic symbols of his reign was the legendary Golden Throne of the Lahore Durbar.
The throne represented the height of the Sikh Empire’s power, craftsmanship, and royal grandeur. Made with exquisite detail and richly decorated in gold, it reflected Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s status as a sovereign ruler who unified Punjab and built a prosperous, well-organized empire in the early 19th century.
Beyond its beauty, the Golden Throne symbolized justice and authority. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was known for holding court where people of all backgrounds could present their cases fairly, making the throne not just a seat of power, but a symbol of equality, leadership, and respect.
Today, it stands as a lasting reminder of Sikh heritage, royal artistry, and one of the most influential eras in Punjab’s history.
